Everything you need to know about Stow Summer Sunset Blast 2022

The countdown to Stow Summer Sunset Blast 2022 is in full swing.
The two-day event, held annually over Labor Day weekend, will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4, at Silver Springs Park (5238 Young Rd.) in Stow. The Blast will feature festival food, kids’ activities, inflatables, games, music, beer (including craft beer from Missing Mountain), live bands and its signature grand finale fireworks show Sunday night.
“This is one of our best events of the year, and there is something for everyone,” said Mayor John Pribonic. “We want to see as many residents as possible come out and enjoy themselves.”
Admission to the family-oriented event is free. Attendees can purchase food and beverages from food truck vendors such as Chick-fil-A, Dr. Hibachi, Fabi’s Taco Truck, Menches Brothers and Swensons, among others.
The Fun Zone, which is open from 5 to 10 p.m. both days, will include kids’ inflatables, a petting zoo, rock wall and a mechanical bull. Some vendors take cash only, so an ATM will be on site (the provider will include a surcharge of $3.50 per transaction).
Daily admission to the Fun Zone is $5. The petting zoo closes at 8 p.m.
Other highlights at the Blast include ax throwing from 5-10 p.m.; country artist Michael Christopher performs from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday; dance party band The Players Club performs from 7-10 p.m. Sunday; and the Blast’s renowned fireworks display at 9 p.m. Sunday closes out the holiday weekend.
“The Summer Sunset Blast celebrates the Stow community with over 40 local organizations, food vendors and family-friendly activities,” said Linda Nahrstedt, Stow’s director of Parks and Recreation. “You really don’t want to miss this event.”
