Feds say Leissler embezzled more than $4.5 million from his former employer

Today is Nov. 20, 2025.
Morning, all! Weâre right in that âtweener time of autumn â when fall is trying to hang on and winter is trying to close in. So we get days like today, with a forecast of patchy fog this morning but otherwise cloudy with a high of 47 and a low of 41. As for Thanksgiving, your too-early forecast for Nov. 27 is showing sunshine and a few clouds, with 44 for the high and 34 for the low. If that holds, weâll certainly take it.
NO NEWSLETTER NEXT WEEK: To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, The Spotlight will not publish next week. To cover the gap, weâve included an extra week of events in todayâs Community Calendar. The next edition of The Spotlight will hit your inbox the morning of Thursday, Dec. 4.
SMF MARCHING BAND TO PERFORM AT BROWNS GAME: The Stow-Munroe Falls High School marching band will perform at halftime of the Cleveland Brownsâ Sunday, Dec. 7 game at Huntington Bank Field against the Tennessee Titans after winning the recent âMarch to Midfieldâ competition, a public vote that featured fans across Ohio voting for their favorite high school band to perform at the game. When the votes were tallied, it was the SMF marching band that won the right to perform at the Dec. 7 game, which will kick off at 1 p.m.
RIEHL ELECTED TO STATE CHAMBER BOARD: Stow City Council Member Matt Riehl this week received unanimous election to the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, which features volunteer business leaders from across the state. âIâm honored to be elected to the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,â Riehl told neohio.news. âThe Chamber has a proud, storied history, and Iâm looking forward to supporting and advocating for businesses and entrepreneurs in Stow, our region, and across Ohio.â Riehl represents Ward 1 in Stow and currently serves as vice president of Stow City Council.
