Behind the plan to rebuild Stow Historical Society's headquarters

Today is March 12, 2026.
Morning, all! The wind and rain that blew through the area last night also blew away the springlike weather. It’s going to be windy and cooler today with low clouds followed by some sun, with a high of 41 degrees (after a high of 70 on Wednesday) and a low tonight of 33. And the St. Patrick’s Day forecast for next Tuesday is looking downright wintry: 36 degrees with snow showers. Spring is almost here, but winter isn’t going away quietly.

SILVER LAKE SPRING LEAF AND LIMB PICKUP: The Village of Silver Lake’s 2026 Spring Leaf and Limb Pickup will run from Monday, April 6 through Sunday, May 3. Go here for the village’s guidelines.
STOW NATURAL GAS AGGREGATION PROGRAM: On Friday, March 20, opt-out letters will be mailed to current and newly eligible accounts in the City of Stow’s natural gas aggregation program. Starting with the April 2026 meter reads, the city’s aggregation program will offer a new fixed rate of $4.95/Mcf for 24 months through March 2028. Residents and small businesses should look for a mailer to arrive on or about March 20 concerning the new natural gas aggregation program offer from IGS Energy. Residents with questions about their letter or status in the aggregation program should contact IGS Energy at 877-353-0162. Go here for more information.
ST. STEPHEN ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT: The St. Stephen Lutheran Church Adult Easter Egg Hunt for ages 18 and over will take place from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at the church’s location at 3725 Kent Rd. in Stow. Here’s how the hunt works: Bring a basket to collect eggs as well as a flashlight for finding eggs since the event will take place in the evening outside the church (rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather). After gathering as many eggs as you can (the eggs will contain raffle tickets), you will then go back inside the church for a raffle basket drawing and refreshments. Tickets are $20 per person and only 100 tickets will be sold, so advance purchase is highly recommended. To buy tickets, volunteer for the event, make donations or for more information, contact the church office at 330-688-7213 or email [email protected]. Proceeds from the event will benefit future youth group trips.
