🔦 New pizza joint in town

DeCheco’s is coming to Munroe Falls and maybe Stow too. Plus, Chamber Spotlight.

Today is Oct. 9, 2025.

  • Morning, all! After a long stretch of warm, dry summer weather, we finally got some rain — if only for a day — and those fall temperatures have arrived. And we’ll be in typical autumn form today: plenty of sunshine with a high of 60 degrees and a low tonight of 38. That classic crisp October air has descended on Northeast Ohio. A cup of hot apple cider, anyone?

Spotlight on the Chamber

A celebration of local flavor: Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce presents the 2025 Fall Foodie Tour

By Julie McLain, Executive Director, Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce

The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of its Fall Foodie Tour, running Oct. 1-31, 2025. This month-long event invites residents and visitors to experience the best of Stow and Munroe Falls’ dining scene while supporting local restaurants, bakeries, breweries and cafés.

This year’s tour will be powered by a new digital passport platform through Loyal Brew, making it easier than ever to check in at participating businesses, explore exclusive offers and earn chances to win prizes throughout the month.

The Fall Foodie Tour is also part of the Chamber’s GoLocal program, which encourages community members to “shop, dine and support local” year-round. By participating in GoLocal, residents strengthen the local economy, keep dollars in the community and help businesses continue to thrive.

“Fall is the perfect time to enjoy local flavors, and our Foodie Tour highlights the creativity and hospitality of our local culinary community,” Julie McLain, executive director of the SMF Chamber of Commerce, said. “By pairing the event with our GoLocal initiative, we’re reminding everyone that supporting small businesses makes a lasting impact on our community.”

Check out this and our other initiatives to support local this fall and winter on our website. Participants can:

  • Visit a variety of restaurants and eateries throughout October.

  • Use the digital passport to track visits and unlock rewards.

  • Be entered to win prizes by enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner.

  • Support the Chamber’s GoLocal program by committing to shop and dine locally year-round.

A full list of participating businesses and registration details are available at https://www.smfcc.com/events/golocalprogram.

A special thank-you goes out to our sponsors of the program this year, who include: Toppin Insurance Agency, Gavin Scott Salon and Spa, Olive my Heart, and We Rock the Spectrum.
