🔦 Newbie on the school board
Kari Suhadolnik joins the SMF board. Plus, a new gaming store, Kyle Vantrease, job fair and more

Today is Oct. 7, 2022.
That October crisp is in the air, and we’re going to feel all of it today. It’s going to be breezy and cooler, topping out at 55 degrees, then falling to 40 tonight. Chance of rain is 40 percent, so be ready just in case. We’ll have more of the same Saturday, then gradually warm up to 66 by Monday. The fall colors are starting to pop, so be sure to admire the leaves – because we’ll be raking them before long.
We got it wrong in our Oct. 4 issue when we reported that Ben and Candace Curtis run the Bulldog Bags, Inc., charity. The Curtis’ foundation is Birdie Bags, not Bulldog Bags, and addresses child food insecurity in Kent. Bulldog Bags serves the same purpose in the Stow-Munroe Falls School District and is headed by Laura Root, not the Curtises. Many thanks to the good people at Bulldog Bags for pointing out the difference and setting us straight. And a bigger thank you to Bulldog Bags for the important work you are doing in our community!
Inside this issue: A judge appointed Stow's newest school board member. We caught up with quarterback Kyle Vantrease about his latest successes. And there's a new store coming to Munroe Falls.
