Silver Lake
Harriett Road improvement project will come with sidewalk assessments for residents
The Village of Silver Lake will soon embark on a road and sidewalk improvement project â and itâs going to come with an out-of-pocket cost for homeowners.
Village council passed a resolution April 21 âto improve Harriett Road between the termini of Graham Road and Oakridge Drive and Graham Road between the termini of the western property boundary of 1618 Graham Road to the eastern property boundary of 1636 Graham Road.â
The project will include:
Road paving and grading
Constructing and reconstructing concrete sidewalks, driveway approaches and storm sewers
Sidewalk assessments will cost homeowners anywhere from $2,000 to more than $5,000. Nearly all of the affected residences are on Harriett Road.
The village says an assessment equalization board will be appointed to hear residentsâ objections relating to the Harriett Road pavement reconstruction and sidewalk improvement. Go here for more information.
