Stow-Munroe Falls schools have a new app to keep parents in the loop

With the 2022-23 school year set to begin Aug. 22, Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools has launched ParentSquare, a new communication platform that allows families of SMF students to receive all their communications from the district, schools, classrooms and school activity groups in one place.

ParentSquare is available now for parents and staff to use on their computers or mobile devices.

“Effective school-to-home communication has never been more important, which is why Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools adopted the ParentSquare communication platform,” Superintendent Tom Bratten said.

The two-way platform, which is used in 48 states, features app, email, text, voice and web portal access to allow stronger engagement between school and home.

Parents will be able to keep track of news, activities and events from all their children’s schools in one place. Using ParentSquare, they can check grades and attendance, sign up for parent-teacher conferences, fill out forms and permission slips, and look at photos posted by teachers.

The platform also allows school staff and parents to engage in both one-to-one and group messaging.

“We’re looking forward to reaching 100% of our families no matter where they are, unifying all our communications tools, and adopting a more eco-friendly approach by reducing the amount of paper used to send important communications,” Bratten said.
