See the candidates. Plus, Oregon Trail Park upgrades and more

Today is Oct. 12, 2023.
Good morning! Autumn has arrived in earnest: The leaves are changing colors, some of them are starting to fall, and we’re getting those trademark comfortable days and crisp nights that October is known for. And the next week will be Exhibit A: Today is going to be cloudy with a bit of rain, mainly early in the day, with a high of 61 and low of 47. Highs will then fall into the mid-50s by Sunday, with lows dipping to 38 degrees by next Wednesday. And about those spectacular fall colors: They’ll peak the week of Oct. 16, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Enjoy the kaleidoscope!
